Modern Ensuite Renovation

The Client Brief

We had the pleasure of working on this modern ensuite renovation for our client in Towcester just before Christmas, last year.

When they first began their new ensuite journey, they met with Chris, our designer, in our showroom to discuss their dreams and wishes for their new room.

Having recently moved into their new home, our client was excited to begin renovating the space to make it their own.

Following a few visits to our showroom, to finalise their designs with Chris, they confirmed they were happy to go ahead, and the bathroom was ordered.

  • Designer: Chris
  • Average Cost: £££
  • Project Type: Supply & Install
  • Turn Around Time: 1 Week

Brands Used

  • Sanitaryware: Laufen
  • Shower : Roman
  • Tiles: Porcelanosa and CaPietra
  • Brassware: Axor
  • Towel Warmer: Zehnder

The Solution:

In their ensuite, they opted to have a large walk-in shower, and chose a Roman shower screen, along with an Impey wet-room – which allowed them to have flush tiling with no need for a shower tray.

The way a wet-room works is the tiles are contoured towards the drain to make the drainage run smoothly and disallows flooding or puddles to be left after the shower has been used.

Their new ensuite was a decently sized room, which meant there was plenty of space to install a large basin unit. They chose the Dansani unit, with built in storage, in the colour Midnight Blue to match with blue tiles in the room. This was then paired with a Duravit washbasin and wall hung brassware in matt black which matched the rest of the brassware in the room, in addition to the Zehnder radiator.

In their ensuite, they had a stair bulkhead in the corner of the room, which could’ve been awkward to work around. However, Chris used his wealth of experience to utilise this unique space efficiently. Therefore, he created a seating and towel storage area which was fully tiled, to be incorporated with the rest of the rooms design seamlessly. The tiles in the room were sourced from Porcelanosa and CaPietra and two styles were used to create a contrast. To match their blue theme from the Dansani unit, blue tiles were used in the shower area, and larger lighter tiles were used on the walls which were half tiled to lighten up the room.

Every detail of this room was taken into consideration to ensure the room reached its best possible potential and our clients wishes were all achieved. Throughout this year we have completed multiple bathroom projects, which we share in this article and on our social media platforms and website – which you can see here.

If you’re thinking of giving your bathroom a makeover, you can reserve a booking to ensure your lead times aren’t prolonged. Visit our showroom to enquire about this service we offer.

Keep an eye on our social media pages for the remainder of this series of bathrooms, which will also be featured here as well over the next few weeks.

Client Testimonial

Amazing!

"‘Brilliant from start to finish from the design phase with Chris in the showroom to the install with their team, can’t fault the service. A few hiccups as to be expected when going back to brick during a renovation but it was all managed brilliantly!’ "
