Maximising Shower and Storage Space Bathroom Renovation

The Client Brief

Our client came to us to have their new bathroom designed.

Following their visit to our showroom, they had a chance to browse all the products available to them which were included in their final design.

Chris, our designer, understood that they wanted a walk-in shower and they wanted to maintain the level of storage they already had in the room.

  • Designer: Chris
  • Average Cost: £££
  • Project Type: Supply & Install
  • Turn Around Time: 2 Weeks

Brands Used

  • Sanitaryware: Laufen
  • Shower: Aqualisa
  • Shower Enclosure: Merlyn
  • Furniture: Mereway
  • Tiles: Porcelanosa
  • Brassware: Aqualla
  • Mirror: Mereway
  • Towel Warmer: Zehnder

The Solution:

Once Chris had done a home visit, to get the measurements of the room, he created their design and invited the clients back in for their CAD design.

In their original bathroom, the bath had been along the side wall, but they didn’t want to have a bath in their final room, so Chris placed the walk-in remote digital shower they desired next to the window at the end of the room. The had a low profile Fiora 1800mm by 1000mm anti slip shower tray installed in their shower, along with a Merlyn Arysto shower screen. Whilst the bathroom before had some existing vanity units, these weren’t maximising the potential of storage solutions in the room, therefore Chris included bespoke Mereway vanity units along the whole wall. The vanity units were made bespoke for our client as the manufacturer had to configure the colour pallet to match what colour the client wanted. To make the room brighter, he suggested spotlights around the room and recessed into the storage along the back wall. To create a modern look to the room, they chose to have a fully tiled room with large format Porcelanosa tiles.

Finally, they chose a black Zehnder towel rail, Laufen sanitaryware and ESS accessories throughout the room as well as mirrors within the cabinets along the whole wall.

Once confirmed, and the client was happy to proceed, the bathroom was ordered and the installation and renovation process was ready to begin.

The bathroom install took two weeks and this included all the electrics and plastering.
